#1 We meet where our ideas meet.

Quarantine has surely kept us home-bound, but are we really with our family? Or are we, in fact, locked away from the people who we see as our family? 'Furqat' means the separation of one's romantic partner. This is part of a photo series that depicts how lovers or close friends are staying home, rejoicing their virtual company, holding onto their urge to step out and meet their better halves, in the hope of a better tomorrow. About the photo: Vision/ Eyes as a sense of togetherness. The concept for this photograph was inspired by the famous quote of Rumi- "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field. I'll meet you there." We humans really connect more through our intellectual wave-lengths and less by mere physical unison; which gets me to think that Lovers around the world can still unite, but physically. "We meet where our ideas meet. We meet in Rumi's field.."

#2 All strings attached

Quarantine has surely kept us home-bound, but are we really with our family? Or are we in fact, locked away from the people who we see as our family? As per the brief of this competition, here's our attempt at 'People who are family to us.' 'Furqat' means the separation of one's romantic partner. This is part of a photo series that depicts how lovers or close friends are staying home, rejoicing their virtual company, holding onto their urge to step out and meet their better halves, in the hope of a better tomorrow. About the photo: Voice as a sense of togetherness. I celebrate my Lover by singing the songs he sings. And I know he does the same for me. "We have All our Strings Attached in this era of No strings attached."

#3 When words fail

Quarantine has surely kept us home-bound, but are we really with our family? Or are we in fact, locked away from the people who we see as our family? As per the brief of this competition, here's our attempt at 'People who are family to us.' 'Furqat' means the separation of one's romantic partner. This is part of a photo series that depicts how lovers or close friends are staying home, rejoicing their virtual company, holding onto their urge to step out and meet their better halves, in the hope of a better tomorrow. About the photo: Ears as a sense of togetherness. "You won't speak to anyone, although wanted someone to understand you, thoroughly. I asked myself, how can anyone know you really, without hearing words from you.. We sat there in contemplation, and you offered me one of your earbuds. My questions were answered without words."

#4 ‘Within You, Without You.’
Touch as a sense of togetherness. My room is filled with things that were once yours, objects that you once touched. While remembering you in everything I do and everything I see, I have become, You.

“सद्दो नी मैं नो धीदो रांझा, मैं नो हीर ना आखो कोई।
“Oh world, call me by my lover’s name (Dhidho Ranjha),
Do never address me as Heer again.”
